This week's Putnam County High School football game is shaping up to be an extra special evening as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Night with a little friendly competition!

We're inviting all teachers, faculty, and staff from every PCCSS school to come out, wear your War Eagle gear, and proudly represent your school community. As a special thank-you, the FIRST 50 staff members who present their school ID at the gate will receive a FREE gift! 🎁

📣 School Spirit Challenge- Which school will bring the biggest crowd and show the most school spirit? We can't wait to find out! Gather your coworkers and help your school claim bragging rights. During halftime, each school's teachers, faculty, and staff will gather together and be announced as they walk across the football field for special recognition and celebration. Let's show everyone the incredible pride, dedication, and spirit that make our schools so special!

🏆 The school with the most teachers, faculty, and staff on the field at halftime will win lunch from Mr. Austin!

Today our PCES family took a few moments to pause and remember September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸 Our students learned about the importance of remembering those who were lost, honoring the heroes who helped others, and recognizing the kindness and unity that brought our country together. #neverforget

We LOVE our Putnam Pieces Videocast filming days! 🎥

One of the best parts of creating Putnam Pieces is getting to roam the halls of our schools and showcase the incredible things happening across PCCSS. Today was packed with inspiring stories, meaningful conversations, and amazing opportunities to see our students and staff in action!

🐾At Putnam County Primary School, we explored the district's commitment to mental health and had the pleasure of meeting Charlie the Therapy Dog!
🧘 At Putnam County Elementary School, we got in touch with our "zen" side while touring the new Zen Den, a calming space designed to support students' sensory and emotional needs.
🔧 At Putnam County Middle School, we saw firsthand how a grant from the Putnam Education Foundation helped expand the school's Makerspace and the incredible hands-on learning experiences students are enjoying because of it.
🍎 At Putnam County High School, we sat down with Ms. Ravi Hudson to hear her inspiring journey and learn more about her recognition as a GaTAPP Ambassador.

Days like this remind us just how special our schools are and how many incredible stories are unfolding every day. We can't wait to share these upcoming Putnam Pieces episodes with you!

📺 Stay tuned over the coming months as these stories premiere. Trust us, you won't want to miss them!

Who says math can’t be FUN?! 🔢

Today, our Putnam County High School Service Leadership students took their leadership and service into the elementary classroom, partnering with Putnam County Elementary School Trailblazers in grades 3–5 to make math literacy something students could move, laugh, talk, and learn through!

Our Service Leadership students first studied math literacy and vocabulary so they could turn challenging concepts into activities that made sense for younger learners. Then they put that knowledge into action!

✨ Taught and practiced math vocabulary
✨ Created word problems using the Trail Blazers’ own names
✨ Played Math Freeze Tag
✨ Read, solved, explained, moved, shouted, and LAUGHED
✨ Helped students build confidence while making math meaningful, engaging, and fun

Moments like these show the power of students learning from students, proving that leadership, service, and a little creativity can make learning come alive for everyone involved!
